
As a note these are great resources for a virtual setting – in person I’d highly recommend using actual money to practice these exercises!
Money Counting Game – be sure to pick correct currency and remove the 50 cent piece that is the Canadian currency
Canadian Currency Worksheets – These have pictures of money
Mydoh App – Can have separate savings and money spending category and kids can identify what they are saving towards. It’s very visual and concrete.
For kids who have difficulty understanding how much $200 vs $5 is consider using graphs to help them visualize

Add in a “Things I already have and like” visual
Add in the idea of impulse buys and remind kids that the desire (or impulse) to purchase something will decrease with time
