Occupational Therapy services for children, youth, and families in the Okanagan

(Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon)

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapists are collaborative problem solvers. We help children, youth, and families with what they want and need to be able to do in a way that works for them.

We use meaningful activities (occupations) as both a way to learn new things and as goals in themselves.

We meet in homes, the commuity, or virtually to explore ‘real life’ occupations to learn more about your strengths, interests, sensory preferences, and learning styles.
- Learn new skills or tools
- Adapt the activity
- Adjust what's around them

OT sessions with Nicola are:

Community based
- At your home, at daycare, at the park – in the places that matter most, practicing the skills that you need to be in those spaces
Collaborative
- Working with children, youth, families, and the teams that surround them
Creative, rooted in strengths
- Using the strengths and interests of children and youth to creatively work toward goals
Occupation focused
- using activities from swimming, to Minecraft, to cooking, to sports to learn new skills
